I See You

On Saturday night Ben and I felt like going to a movie. It was kind of a last minute decision so our picks of times were limited. The only movie that seemed to work out for us was Avatar.

We both kind of had the same attitude about it; what's all the hype about? Did we really feel like sitting through 160 minutes? But it is a movie that if you're going to watch, why not see it in 3D in the actual theater.

So partially reluctant, we went to see it.

Well blog readers, believe the hype. Yes, it was a bit cliche but the 160 minutes breezed by. Ben and I ruminated the next day about what could have been cut from the story, but everything worked with the flow of the movie.

I liked the message and story line of the alien's connection to their planet. Ben commented that they seemed a lot like the Native American's in their belief in the ebb and flow of nature's energy. I often think about the energy of our world and how mind blowing that, in instances like the Sunami, animals took to higher ground before it hit land.

The computer animation and visuals are amazing. I can see why they spent 4 years making this movie! Sween in the Bean gives his movie a thumbs up. You should see it (in 3D) too!
