Kevin has a memory of my Dad watching a Yankee's game in our ol'Allston apartment and doing a fist pump.
Last night I did a fist pump while watching the season finale of The City. Go Whitney! Jay (her boyfriend who dumped her to go on tour with his band) returned to say he realized he loved her. Her response? "Too little, too late." a.k.a. "Take those dreamy blue eyes and hit the road, Jay." And your band sucks too.
I'm glad a "reality" show displayed a girl who knows how to respect herself, even if it hurt her too. I loved Diane von Furstenberg two pieces of advice (yes I'm saying I like advice given from a reality show. Planted or not, I enjoyed it!)
*Absence is to love as wind is to fire. If the fire is small, a wind will extinguish it. If the fire is big, wind will make it bigger.
She added the most important relationship you need to work on life is your relationship with herself.
Woot, woot Whit!

I still think of the quiet fist pump every time the Yankees hit a double.
