A-Maizing

During the summer of 2005, Chrissy and I ventured on a trip across the United States. We each set goals of things we wanted to see and do. I really wanted to go to a rodeo while Chrissy was determined to find a corn maze.

We never found a corn maze that summer, but today Chrissy's dream of wandering through a field of corn came to fruition right here in Massachusetts!! Chrissy, Pete and I rose bright and early this morning to travel to Sterling, MA to the Mega Maze!!
We had perfect weather for this great Fall activity! Each year the maze has a theme, this year being of course the Olympics! The maze had 12 bridges throughout it, your goal was to find all 12 bridges as well as the exit out of the maze. After wandering around aimlessly for the first ten minutes Chrissy asked how many bridges I thought we'd get too. I guess I was in a pessimistic mood and only said 4! Pete said 5 and Chrissy thought 7. We actually made it to 10 of the 12 bridges so we were quite happy with ourselves!
They had music playing throughout the maze of maize. They had some great choices from Chariots of Fire (see Pete below) to the theme music from Indiana Jones to the Hey Song.Pete celebrating reaching another bridge.
Throughout the maze they had rest points with fun Olympic games. This was a fencing station that also had trampolines. Yes, we enjoyed these games as much as the small children!

We were proud to reach the end in an hour and a half. We only asked for a **few** hints from the Maze keepers!
The Feeney's next to the Corn-gratulations Signage.
Chrissy, Pete and I also went apple picking at the farm. If you're in the mood for some Apple-Crisp stop on by my place tomorrow evening! Yummmmmm.

On the way home 495 was really, really backed up so we decided to bail and take smaller roads back to Boston. This led us into Sudbury, so we made a pit stop and visited Marc at his pharmacy! Fun times!

Sidenote: Having trouble telling the Feeney's apart? Could you keep up with our changing outfits? We all started with different outfits that changed as the air got warmer. Chrissy had a tank top and since I had a long sleeved shirt on she gave me the shirt off her own back.
