All I Want for Christmas...

All I wanted Santa to bring down the chimney this year was a new dishwasher. This heinous thing has been the bane of my existence! The dial doesn't work so if I want it to go to the next cycle I have to be within ear shot of when it stops to keep the dialing moving. This particular task isn't difficult as the darn thing sounds like a jet plane! And even after all of that, the dishes don't always come clean and at times there is a pool of gross water on the bottom.
So Santa came through! I was granted the power to buy this little puppy, in "bisque" (that's cream for all you non-appliance-knowing people). My stove is fairly new and is bisque, so I wanted to keep them matchy-matchy!!
I tried my best to be a good consumer. I'm not really the "researcher" type. So I went with my Pen, Pad and a Pal to Best Buy and Home Depot. I checked them out, tried to ask knowledgeable questions and do my best pre-research (even though the Home Depot guy kept answering the questions to Stefan and the guy made a derogatory remark about how the women are the ones loading up the machine anyway. Beth, you would have died.)

Then I came home and googled and did my best to research the best purchase. It's not the biggest purchase in a young woman's life but being my first big purchase/decision for my place I wanted it to be a good one!

It'll be delivered on January 12th. I'll keep you posted on how it works out!
