Field Trips Rock

Sometimes it's hard to defend teaching, especially when you get to go to the beach for the day! Although, it is a bit stressful to be at the beach with 20 5 and 6 year olds! We've been studying about life in a tide pool and today we took a trip to the tide pools in Gloucester!

Here are two of my favorite kiddos. Christian is doing his best Sponge Bob impression, he said this is how Sponge Bob smiles.
For the record, I am behind the camera and am not touching any wildlife. As some of you know, I have been quoted to say "I hate nature."

Kids are so cute.

My assistant teacher, Megan, on the other hand is quite one with nature. Thankfully she teaches a children's marine ecology all summer. Here she is holding a natural sponge.
You can't see it, but there was a huge hermit crab.
It was a perfect beach day!
