Nicole, soon-to-be-baby Patterson, and I decided to get out and enjoy the Spring weather yesterday. We attempted to eat at Emma's, which was closed so we ate at the B-side (which was ironic because I've always wanted to go there and that was the 2nd time there in the last 3 days!)

Then we were off to MIT to check out a Frank Gehry building on campus. I recently watched a documentary on Gehry called Sketches of Frank Gehry. It was interesting to see his process, which was documented by a friend of his. He starts with outlandish sketches and has developed an engineering team that sort of brainstorms the aethetics with him. They then decide if it can be built, and if it can, how.

The building at MIT is called The Stata Center and was worth the little trip to visit it.

It reminded me a lot of the Goudi buildings in Barcelona.

Nicole and I stopped someone to take a picture. We're afraid they might have thought the baby was "ours."
