Tag ya man, Tag ya man

(Big points to whoever knows what my blog title is referencing...)

I have been tagged by Beth to complete a Blog survey. I have been tagged to reveal five useless facts about myself which should be easy for me since I start a lot of sentences with "This doesn't have to do with anything but...."

1) I have a lot of nicknames. My dad has called me Moo my whole life. This has morphed into Katie Moo, The Moo, Mooskie and my neighbor calls my car the Moo Mobile. In High School Dave started Big Kate which followed me to college. In college a lot of people called me Sween Dog. More recently my roommates named me Buttons because they feel I have an affinity towards garments with buttons on them.

2) I recently threw out a backpack that I've had since 6th grade. I was coaxed to throw it out after my roommates gifted me a new one for my birthday last year. Here is a picture of me and my former backpack in Chicago last summer:


3) I have television volume issues. I like the TV to be the perfect volume so when I'm alone I often adjust it up and down. I hate when the TV is too loud!

4) To go off Beth's tragic Cabbage Patch doll story, as a child I had a stuffed dog named Woo Woo. In kindergarten I brought him into school for show and tell. By accident I left him outside before the bell rang and when I went to fetch him: he was gone. Woo woo was never seen again but my mother continues her quest to replace him.

5) I have a number of scars (how Harry Potter of me!) At 7 I was left with a scar on my left eye lid after the chicken pox. In 3rd grade I was catching caterpillars and ended up with stitches in my thumb after trying to poke holes in a jar lid with a knife. At 12 I had scoliosis surgery and have a scar on my back and hip. While babysitting in High School the family dog bit my left index finger and left me with a nice memory scar.
