Get your Swag On

Disclaimer: I was feeling lazy, these pictures uploaded sideways and I didn't feel like fixing them.

With that said, this Grinch sort of mood as been with me recently. I really haven't felt in the Christmas spirit. This feeling was quickly extinguished after an afternoon with Kate "Christmas Spirit" Bedard.

Since Kate has a small Nissan and I have a Jeep, I offered to help her go get her Christmas Tree. We spent a bit wondering around the Christmas trees at Maloney's.
Kate found the perfect tree, only to discover it was $130: note KB's horrified face.
She later declared she'll know she's "Made It" when she can afford a tree like that. We ventured into the area of trees that were more in her price range and found this little fella:
Maloney's has this great invention appropriately called The Shaker. It shakes the tree around to knock off the excess needles and helps the tree to drop.

KB and I also learned something else new. We both invested in these festive arrangements, which are called a Swag.

Who knew such a thing existed! But it looks nice on my, er pink, front door.

Tis the Season

Last year, beyond my Christmas Swag, I didn't decorate.

This year, I decided to get a little bit more into the Christmas spirit!!

I decorated my book shelf...
My coffee table (don't you love the jumbo ball??)
And even put presents under my "tree"!!
What's that on my tree? Why it's a Santa riding on a turtle from the Cayman Islands!!
