Random Tuesday

*For those of you who love the song from the Kia-toys-running-wild commercial I have researched that it is How Do You Like Me Now by The Heavy.  I have it on my ipod ready for the gym!

*After being bored with my cooking repertoire, I've been attempting new recipes each week.  Last week I made Rachel Rays pasta fagioli; or as my grandmother pronounced it Basta Fazool.  It tasted just like my grandmother's, although she had tomoato in hers so it had more of a pink hue.  I find with Rachel's recipes the base is good, I just let them cook longer.  For instance, I use her tomato sauce recipe but let it cook for two hours.  The Basta Fagioli was meant to cook for 10 minutes, I let it cook for an hour and a half. 

 

I also tried green peppers stuffed with polenta and corn.  It was alright, but not something I'll ever crave to cook again. Ben has been enjoying the fruits of my labor. 

*Did you know Chrissy could be a hustler in bowling?  I went bowling with her on Saturday night and she beat us all each time!  I didn't realize she had such effortless skills.

*I don't mean to be one of those New Englanders that complain about the weather... but that rain was ridiculous!!  On Monday I had to take TWO detours to get to work because roads were closed!  On Sunday, there was literally a river flowing down Ben's street.  I'm not talking a heavy flow of rain, I'm talking little rapids that made us move our cars.
