Generation Wii

Each day I have a "morning message" for the children. I leave out letters and words for them to fill in with me. Today I left out the word "we." I asked the students, "Who knows or can sound out the word we?"

A little girl's eyes lite up and her hand shot up. I called on her to come up and fill in the word.

"Wi" is what she wrote.

I literally laughed, which I then felt bad about as she blushed. I explained that she did write it correctly like the videogame, but then helped her sound out the word.

I see this happening much more in the future.
