Back in Black

I think I've mentioned I rather a blizzard than a heat wave. Me and 90 degree, humid heat are not friends.

Last night as I was getting ready for bed, AC pumping in my bedroom...... I lost power!

These are a few ruminations I had about blackouts and myself, while in the dark.

*I really am not good in crisis situations.

*I tried to turn the lights on every time I entered a new room.

*My cellphone makes a really good flash light when looking for my real flashlight.

*My real flashlight could use a battery change.

*I am glad my building is such a community! I called Jeremy to meet me in the basement and our other neighbors were already down there. A transformer had blown out so half the building didn't have electricity.

*I am grateful that Ben refills my ice cube tray! I used it to keep myself cool and try to get some sleep.

Thankfully, NSTAR fixed the problem in about an hour. I was really surprised! But very happy to curl back up next to the AC!
