Commercialism bothers me. I hate how places can't just be called "The Boston Garden." They have to be called "The TD Bank North Garden." And it's not just The Orange Bowl anymore, it's the FedEx Orange Bowl.
But I usually think of independent businesses, like lets say FNX radio, as free from these commercialist practices.
But now FNX is presenting the Bugaboo Creek Kick Ball tournament.
It's not just the name that irks me but that each team has to name themselves based on SOMETHING ON THE MENU!! I mean honestly, how can you fit Prime Rib or T-Bone steak into your team name? Why should you HAVE to do that just to play Kick Ball?!?
Sigh. What is this society coming too.
And why am I up in arms about a kick ball tournament?
