
To debadge a car is to remove its model, number, engine size and all the other little metal plates (or badges) that might be on the back (or front) of the car. In short, I was told this is what "the cool kids do."
Yesterday I was driving behind a Toyota Prius that brought this to a new level for me. Not only was it debadged, where the round Toyota emblem had once been was now a new metal badge:

I don't know if the emblem was custom made or if the Prius was a corporate car, either way it looked really cool.
