CO 07

Finally, I have gathered all the Cape Olympics pictures into one post! There was some concern that Cape Olympics 'O7 (dubbed, CO 07) would not live up to last year. Well, I think the consensus is that Cape Olympics will always be the party of the year. It's nice to gather everyone together for some fun, sun and quahogging!
Friday night started with the usual Open Ceremonies as Kate presented this years favor: Personalized Cups.
Karaoke was started right away. Kev, as usual, ruled the mic. He sang with KB and Jen....
and rocked out with Andy.

He and KB put on a show....and even brought it outdoors to the staircase.
Those of us who are not avid karaoke singers played Beer Pong. I usually stay away from the beer pong table because I have really bad hand eye coordination. Noreen was a patient partner and we actually won a few games!

We might have won because Noreen joined in with my "dancing to distract the other team." tactic.
Later on I partnered up with Jimmy. We were both tall, had curly hair and hoods. Also, I discovered that Jimmy knows Dan of Dan's Paper: a popular magazine from where my parents summer.Jimmy and I did pretty well, but we were really no match for Andy and Steve.

Or Cristin and Jon who proved they still had "it."
I do much better just dancing on the side lines!
Couples galore:

Andy and Steve take a cute picture.

But Andy and I take an even cuter one!
We woke up to a beautiful day on the Cape. The view from Kate's house is amazing.

I opted out of Quahogging this year. Last year Pat discovered an insanely large Spider Crab lingering near us. As I flew towards and clamored back into the boat I was quoted as saying "I hate nature." People braver than I still went out and braved the waters of Buttermilk Bay. Here are the fruits of their labor.
KB, Chris and Pete cooked them up for a great meal.

Flip cup was the chosen game for Saturday night.
The highlight being Jen's 1:1 match up with KB.I often say that moments were "The funniest moment of my life." But honestly, CO 07 really did provide the funniest moment of my life. Elena had to use the restroom in between flip cup games. She went running towards the door and hopped to go up the stair. The problem was the screen door was closed and Elena bounced right off of it. I have never witnessed something that made EVERYONE laugh so hard. Every single person at the party was keeled over, holding onto people or had to sit down they were laughing so hard. When Elena came back, hysterically crying (from laughing) someone asked if she was okay. She simple said "I bounced!"

It was a great weekend!

Looks like so much fun! Two summers ago on the Cape I got a giant bite out on the deck and told everyone "I fricking hate the great outdoors." Clearly we were made to be friends!

Great synopsis of our weekend Feeney! You did a good job of capturing all aspects of it, especially the funny moments. It was a fabulous time had by all and I agree the party of the year!
