Really?

I had a moment that really brought me back into the 21st century.
My class, as mentioned, is a little naughty at times. As an incentive, the children are working towards earning a video and pop corn party on Friday. After polling the kids today they want to watch Happy Feet.

So, I dig out my Blockbuster card (we have Netflix, who actually leaves their house to get a movie anymore?) and head down to the store to rent Happy Feet, on VHS, because the school only has VCR's. I go looking for Happy Feet on VHS, only to be informed that they stopped making VHS tapes Last Year!! Did anyone else know that"They" aren't even making video tapes anymore!?

So plan B is to drag my DVD player to school... but one of the TV's is from 1973: turn dial channel changer and everything! Hopefully this whole thing will work out!!

Wowser, I wish my teacher was as generous as you! We almost never got popcorn and video parties!

Hope it works out! If it doesn't, you're going to have a bunch of sad faced little uns to contend with.

Oh and: "we have Netflix, who actually leaves their house to get a movie anymore?" Eh, the Irish do. ;) The joys of Netflix hasn't reached our shores yet.

Sure we're not long with electricity, oh be god. So that's too technical for us yet. ;)

That's crap! Next thing you know, they're going to stop making BetaMax too!
